WODE includes a Flatmod type mainboard that attaches (solderless) to the Wii drive cable similar to other available chips such as the Wasabi Dx and the Drivekey. It also comes with it's own vertical stand that harnesses a slave board with built-in LCD, USB, and SD slot. The SD card is used to house the powerful Linux-based WODE software. WODE will Play Wii & GameCube game ISOs direct from USB Mass Storage devices at 8X read speed. Unlike video games, WODE behaves differently, WODE is a bridge interface between the data bus for Wii Dvd Drive and LINUX nothing more.

wode arrived this morning, fitted and its amazing. In my opinion the best mod available for the wii and its so nice to see a UK supplier of the wode that is on the ball.
Service is great, shipping is fast and well packaged. Cant ask for more than that.

A great way to get rid of a pile of Wii media

It's a powerful combo to rile the other half - 7 year old Wii player who is seemingly incapable of putting things away, result: lots of discs floating around and an irritated* SWMBO because of them. Irritated me because when I want to play a game it was generally scratched to buggery and needed rewriting.
The obvious answer, is to load from a USB device - looked at soft-modding but the vagaries are too much for the lad to cope with, then the WODE came along and since I've had it (about a week) it's transformed the way the room looks, removed arguments about the discs lying around and stopped an earthquake in China**
Took about 25' to fit (elapsed it was about 40' but I discovered that not all PH#000 screwdrivers are the same***) and 15' to teach the lad how to use it. Well worth the cash IMO and a big shout out to Hanger Shop for the rapid shipping.

*** I was all set to disassemble the Wii (for the third time - checking what drive it had in, fitting the modchip first time around and now fitting the WODE) and noticed that the phillips screws seemed much harder to get out than last time, but remembered using a different driver (still a PH#000) - spent 15' rounding up all the PH#000 I have and comparing them side by side, it's obvious that they're all slightly different - in size, in thickness of the 'vanes', even in the profile of point - which according to the specification for phillips screws should be rigidly defined - so if it's tricky to get the screws out using the PH#000 driver, try another type of PH#000 driver.

I have to say that this is the best product to appear on the console mod scene for quite some time, it is so simplistic to fit if your used to fitting modchips, however if not there are plenty of guides on you-tube. Using the WODE is so intuitive, and totally menu driven, just select the item you want with a joystick, what could be easier!
Version 02.00 Firmware has recently been released, the major feature of this is that it allows you to easily and conveniently rip a Wii disc to your usb storage device using the console, and it really is simple, no more having to use special LG drives and complicated programs!!
As for the service from the hanger shop, it was nothing short of perfect, which is what I have come to expect from Mike, nice job once again!

I would be lost without this now. I got it from here about a week ago and it is amazing how much time it saves, not to mention the money it will save me on DVDs.
Follow the instructions and all will be ok.

Ordered my wode from the hanger and installed it this morning (thx for quick delivery)
It works great. In my opinion the wode is the best mod yet for the wii
Quite a simple install but be careful with the long cable, make sure you get it in the right place when installing. Its all on the install guide so follow the instructions properly and you wont go wrong.
